Research Context

​This research explores changes brought about by the introduction of predictive policing technologies such as the spatial prediction of crime and the risk scoring of individual offenders and vulnerable persons. Areas of interest include officer decision making, evaluation, and organisational change (with a focus on the distribution of insight).

Research Methodology

​The research is based on in-depth qualitative interviews with police officers of different ranks and members of relevant software companies. It also includes some secondary data analysis.
