Research Context

There is a gap in the literature surrounding exploitation by organised crime groups.  This research wishes to explore the perceptions of police and/or ex-police from a range of ranks and roles on the issue of OCG's. Our aim is that the findings of this research will inform future policing debates, and will bridge gaps between academic understandings and policing knowledge. This research will also be of interest to the National Crime Agency.

Research Methodology

This is a pilot study which will lead to a larger collection. We will use semi-structured interviews for 20 participants. Each interview will be 60-90 minutes long, and follow-up interviews are also available. We are using thematic analysis.
