The Better Policing Collaborative is one of the successful bids awarded funding from the Police Knowledge Fund.

Through research and knowledge exchange activities, the project will develop a tool to assist in the prioritisation of suspects, design training and investigate the tool’s implementation.

Activities:

  • Develop the tool, based initially on a sample of cases obtained from West Midlands Police, with a larger sample drawn from three other forces;
  • Develop training for undercover officers in the use of the tool;
  • Investigate automation of elements of the tool to ensure its deployment is as time and resource efficient as possible.
