Research Context

​This is a 3 year match funded PhD studentship in partnership between the University of the West of England and Avon and Somerset Constabulary. The PhD will look at a range of issues associated with the developing use of predictive analytics within policing including operational practice, crime reduction, ethics, risk management, leadership and resource use.

Research Methodology

​Mixed methods studentship. Statistical modelling, ethnography, interviews, focus groups and public surveys will all be used to examine the use of predictive analytics in a holistic manner.
