Summary of activities
EMPAC is a partnership between the five police forces, five police and crime commissioners and seven universities in the region.

It pulls together five networks of professional and academic expertise, addressing:

  • local policing
  • victims, witnesses and public protection
  • organisational transformation
  • serious and organised crime
  • operational policing.

Each network will deliver four research projects and support two fellowships, delivering thirty projects in total by the summer of 2017. The creation of a 'knowledge hub' and delivery of at least twenty events and workshops will drive increased knowledge, insight and evidence-based policy and practice in the East Midlands and beyond.
